A common Passover snack
food. In the "old days" (a decade ago?), there were plain
macaroons and maybe chocolate chip
macaroons. Now there's maybe 2 dozen different kinds on the market, such as chocolate mint
, rocky road
, etc etc etc, as the kosher
industry has grown immensely.
Macaroons usually are flat on the bottom and rounded on the top. They're pretty small and as they taste good, go pretty fast.
