A common
Passover snack food. In the "old days" (a decade ago?), there were
plain macaroons and maybe
chocolate chip macaroons. Now there's maybe 2 dozen different kinds on the market, such as chocolate
mint,
rocky road,
coffee, etc etc etc, as the
kosher/
Jewish food industry has grown immensely.
Macaroons usually are flat on the bottom and rounded on the top. They're pretty small and as they taste good, go pretty fast.
