this nodeshell reminds me of a time long past (poetry)

This nodeshell that didn't used to be,
reminds me of a long time past.
Of all the messages we once sent
and the connections that didn't last.

And seeing it linked in red
brings me to a bitter reverie
of all that could have been
and of all that still could be.
