A
fabric stash is a
collection of
fabric, taking up
space and
cluttering the lives of people who
sew.
Quilters in particular are
notorious for being collectors of fabric.
My fabric stash takes up three-fourths of my one-car garage. It is in boxes and totes and plastic tubs. Sometimes my kids drag it out and play with it. Sometimes I drag it out and play with it.
We are always adding to our stash. That is why quilters always visit quilt shops wherever they travel. Long lists of such shops exist all over the web, making it convenient to go drop half a week's salary on some 100% cotton fabric (which is all quilters buy) to add to the stash.
