There's one fundamental difference between how Valerie Solanas (the author of this manifesto) sees things and how I see things. The difference is this: I believe men have hope. While they may start with nothing and naturally be inclined to be scared to death by this, those who face themselves can do more than just stay out of the way. Once they know and accept where they're starting from, they can develop a real personality, grow a true identity -- transcend what they started out as. In short, men can learn to live life.

Of course, this can't happen on a large scale in a male society, where fear of male shortcomings is cultivated from a very early age and heavily catered to...

(There are other differences too, but most of them grow out of this one and the rest aren't as major.)
