A practically
useless, malfunctioning robot made by the
Omni Consumer Products corporation. Initially programmed for
urban pacification, but initial tests proved both humorous and shocking, as the robot let rip with its armament on one of the company's
executives. This led Robert Morton to approach the President of the corporation with his "
RoboCop" programme, which quickly helped clean up the city of Old
Detroit.
Each ED-209 machine comes complete with a 20mm cannon and three heat-seeking missiles on its right arm, a pair of 20mm cannons on its left arm, and gas grenade launchers on its back.
Although it has generally been regarded as a scrap-pile, the machine can be used as an awesome weapons turret and assault robot. (All we need is for it to learn how to walk down stairs! ;))
