an
ACC rival to Clemson, lost
its first 29 games against the Tigers. The
Wahoos only ended that
streak in 1990, the year UVa blitzed to a 7-0 record and #1 ranking
before losing to
Georgia Tech 41-38 and spiraling downward to
finish 8-4 with #15 (UPI) and #23 (AP) rankings.
To this day, the first insult offered by a Clemson fan to a UVa
fan on a message board is usually "white meat."
