A name given to several American trees and shrubs of the same genus (Aesculus) as the horse chestnut.

The Ohio buckeye, ∨ Fetid buckeye, is Aesculus glabra. -- Red buckeye is Ae. Pavia. -- Small buckeye is Ae. paviflora. -- Sweet buckeye, ∨ Yellow buckeye, is Ae. flava.
