Another
version of a
song. Depending on the type of remix, it can sound almost the
same or
completely different. Sometimes remixes are created to make a
short song longer, or to shorten a
long song for the
radio, or because people get
tired of listening to one version of a song and it's cheaper to simply remix it than to come up with a new song.
Remixes are most common with dance music, since it lends itself to remixing well. Change the beat and add some new sound effects and WHAM.. you got a new song. In some cases remixes are better than the original.... But more often than not, they blow chunks.
