Angrod was the third son of Finarfin and brother of Finrod. He joined the group led by Fingolfin into Middle-Earth and settled in the north of Dorthonion with his brother Aegnor. He was the first Exile to enter Thingol's realm of Doriath and told him of the flight of the Noldor. He was killed and his land was overrun in the Dagor Bragollach.
