A friend of mine told me yesterday about a conversation she had with a friend of hers, about making choices. He was at a low point in his life, and he was asking her to tell him what to do. He was so worried about making the wrong decision; he was convinced that in life, in his life, there
were right and wrong decisions.
My friend kept trying to explain that it was all a matter of perspective, that what was right for one person might not be right for another. Finally, slightly exasperated, she said,
”You know the story about the Lady or the Tiger? Well, if you were Siegfried or Roy, you’d be very upset if you got the Lady.”
