Just to check how small the world really is.

According to wikipedia, the earth is about: 1.0832×10^21 m^3 in volume... or to make it look more intimidating:

1,083,206,246,123,080,894,852 m^3

aka pretty fucking big!

However, compared to Jupiter's whopping 1.43128×10^15 km^3 (or 1.43128×10^24 m^3) volume, the earth is only about

1/1321 times it's size.

Now, I am 5 feet 7 inches in hight, a meagre 1.7018 meters tall, and about 42 cm across the shoulders, and about 22 cm in thickness at my thickest point (aka my ass).

Assuming my body to be a uniform rectangular prism (which it obviously is not) of dimensions: 1.7018 m x 0.42 m x 0.22 m I could potentially comfortably occupy a box

0.15724632 m^3 in volume

It would take approximately 6.89x10^21 of me to occupy a volume equal to that of the Earth,

and 9.10x10^24 of me to occupy the same amount of space of Jupiter (and that's at SATP... on Earth!)

Consider now, that there are about 6.5 billion people in the world and let's say that I'm about average volume. That means that all of us together, uncompressed, still only occupy about

1,022,000 m^3 (1.022x10^6 m^3), meaning that it would take about 1.06x10^15 times the population of the Earth to occupy its volume and 1.40x10^18 times to fill Jupiter.

There is a solution:

We can come to terms with out tiny, relative volume, reanimate lots and lots of dead folks, or we can have lots and lots of really fat or tall or thick (or all) children and make ourselves finally feel big... prove that it's a small world...

Until then... it's pretty fucking big.
