御徒町
Okachimachi is a neighborhood in Tokyo and a railway station on the Yamanote Line and the Keihin-Tohoku Line, both operated by JR East railway. There is also a Naka-Okachimachi station on the Ginza Line nearby, as well as a Ueno-Okachimachi station on the Oedo Line.
The Okachimachi neighborhood is adjacent to Ueno Park and Ueno station. It is best known for Ameya-Yokochō open-air market, better known as Ameyoko. Here you can buy all manner of seafood, fruit, and dried goods at close to wholesale prices, as well as super cheap jackets, shoes, and watches fresh off the boat from China.
