the end is just so      dark

                                we still know love, in the future
   we are not strung out,here,at the edge   of the  stars
                                families and couples, grouped at the windows
                                they hold hands, they wrap their arms around
  we are unlinked,disconnected,we,so-used-to-a-small-world
                                each other's shoulders, just comfortable
                                in the face of the darkness, the darkness

we can barely understand what we see out the windows
                                the darkness

     the nothing
     
     
         we have not experienced
         
         
            this
            
            
            
       drift
