A popular
Nissan engine, used in many
models, and is pretty much the
workhorse of Nissan. The SR20DE is a
dual overhead cam,
inline, four-cylinder engine displacing 1998
cc (121.878
cid) with multi-point
electronic fuel injection, and a
compression ratio of 9.5:1. It gets about 140
horsepower at 6400 rpm, and 132 lb.ft. of
torque at 4800 rpm. Its small and lightweight nature make it optimal for use in many compact and
subcompact cars. Additionally, this engine can be outfitted with a single
turbocharger, making the SR20DET engine (the
compression ratio in a standard SR20DET is lower, at 8.3:1). Cars with an SR20DET are marked with an
asterisk (
*).
