Amiga Inc's cheeky codename for a new Amiga emulator that a third party
software company has written. The product will be released on the same day as the
AmigaOne, and will be an
x86 emulation of the classic
AmigaOS 3.9. This will allow existing Amiga users to run their pre-AmigaOS 4.0 (the new
OS shipping with the AmigaOne boards) software at breakneck speeds on a faster
processor, and hopefully tempt some PeeCee-owning
Satan worshippers back.
The product requires no hosting. You simply slot in your Amiga-formatted hard drive, put the Amithlon CD in the drive and boot. Windows need never tarnish your box again! Amithlon can also run in conjunction with Linux drivers to access any hardware not recognised by the standard Amiga drivers.
