A mysterious Chinese training ground in the anime/manga Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi. It is home to hundreds or thousands of springs, each of which has it's own very tragic story of a drowning victim. When a living thing enters the pool, it receives the curse of that pool - from then on cold water causes the cursed person/animal to take on the physical form (and for some springs, mental behavior] of the original drowning victim. Hot water restores the person/animal to their normal form, but only until the next time! drowned young man (theoretically the cure for any male Jusenkyou victim), the spring of drowned yeti riding a crane carrying an eel (Pantyhose Taro's curse, and the spring of (almost) drowned Akane . In many ways, Jusenkyou is the defining characteristic of a Ranma 1/2 universe in Anime fanfiction.
