Balki Bartokomous is the name of the character played by Bronson Pinchot on the ABC sitcom, Perfect Strangers, (1986-1993). Balki plays a young sheperd from the isle of Mypos, a fictional island somewhere in the Mediterranean. Balki leaves his family to come live with his cousin, Larry Appleton (Mark Linn-Baker), in America. The two have many adventures as they go to work for the Chicago Chronicle and Balki gets used to life in America.
