Here's a recipe for pecan pie that I got from my mother. The original
recipe came from some cookbook, but she has made several modifications.
Southern Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
Procedure:

Mix sugar with butter until fluffy.

Add syrup and salt, beating well.

Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each.

Stir in crushed pecans.

Pour mixture into pastry shell.

Carefully coat top of filling with pecan halves.

Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
