My E2 Gaim plugin is

This gist of the plugin is that you can use square brackets in your instant messages just like if it were an E2 node writeup. Then the person on the other end will get a link to the E2 node of that title. The best part is that it works even if the other person doesn't have gaim or the plugin.
Kudos to AlexZander for talking me into writing it.
Oh, BTW, in case you didn't know, gaim is an AOL Instant Messanger client for linux written with GTK+
