Latyrx is the name of the hip-hop duo comprised of
Lateef the Truthspeaker, and
Lyrics Born, who are also two members of the
Soleside Crew. The rap scene is like that. They are from
Oakland,
California, and consequently are known as "
Bay Area" artists.
They are an underground group which has met success, and they produce on the Solesides label. Their fame is due in large part to DJ Shadow, who has been responsible for making music projects for the pair.
On Ninja Tune's Xen Cuts album, Latyrx sings along with The Herbaliser in the song 8pt Agenda, and I like it just fine.
