Casey Kasem hosts American Top Forty every Sunday, showcasing the 40 best songs as voted by a mysterious group of people nobody knows about. He also has a rather odd raspy voice. Did the voice of Shaggy on Scooby-Doo. No, I'm not kidding.

On June 15, 2014, Kasem died at St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington at the age of 82 after a long battle with Lewy body dementia.
