So here's my plan for lying to my dad and getting there: I am, supposedly, sleeping over at my friend Penina's house so she can teach me what I've missed in school this past week (I'm
suspended). She lives, supposedly, in
Oceanside, so that I can take the train there from where I live in
Long Beach. Then in the morning I'll come into school on her bus.
Really, Penina lives in
Woodmere. And when I get onto the train it'll be to go to
Manhatten and the E2 gathering. Then when it's over I'll go home to Long Beach to sleep, as, thankfully, my dad and his girlfriend will be in his apartment in
Jamaica. In the morning I'll take the train from Long Beach to my school in
Hewlett. Unless I slip, it should all work out. If he finds out, I will never be allowed to leave home again.
