• Tallaght Institute of Technology
  A relatively new institute (circa 1986) built to serve the Tallagh area, lot's of money pumped into it recently, I hear good things about the facilities.
• Dun Laoghaire College of Art, Design & Technology
  Learn how to make films or dresses or do pretty things here.
• Royal College of Surgeons
  Find out how to cut people up (and get away with it !). This is an old college and is pretty prestigious.
• LSB
  Leeson School of Business. I don't really know what one can learn here, perhaps about the tourismindustry.
• National University of Ireland (NUI)
  Founded at the turn of the century the national universities were set up as a Catholic alternative to the Protestant QUB and TCD. The NUI colleges were UCD, UCC, Maynooth and UCG (I think). At the time if you were a Catholic in Ireland there was the threat of excommunication if you went to TCD or QUB. The two NUI colleges located in Dublin are
  • Maynooth
    Space Science and religion. A bit out of the city but still an option. There is also a seminary at Maynooth

  Originally designed to be a collection of colleges as in the oxbridge model, only one college was built, this is
  • Trinity College Dublin(TCD)
    The oldest university in Ireland.
• All Hallows College
  All Hallows is an international centre for theology and ministerial development with links to colleges and universities in both Europe and the United States (that's what it says on their web site)
• Gaiety School of Acting
  self explanatory.
• Dublin City University
  Now becoming one of the biggest universities in Ireland, they have had a huge amount of expansion in the past four years.
• Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies,DIAS
  My favorite institute in the city. You can study either mathematical physics or Celtic studies here. This deserves a node of it's own.
• Dublin Institute of Technology

    used to have a great little climbing club. Has a school of electrical engineering and a school of architecture
