There used to be a 30-second
'Bod Squad' cartoon short that ABC would run on
Saturday mornings. The cartoon had a song—which I believe was voiced by Jack Sheldon of
School House Rock fame—singing the healthy praises of black beans and rice.
A snippet from memory:
"Beans and rice,
beans and rice,
once or twice or even thrice!
Beans and rice are nice!"
