Resolute is a fairly radical new design of rowing shell, which is made in Bristol, Rhode Island, by the same people who make America's Cup sailing boats. Made entirely out of carbon fiber fabric and epoxy resin, the shell is fantastically stiff and light, and cuts a dashing figure in that it looks like an all black stealth bomber prototype. At the 2000 IRA intercollegiate championships, most of the winning crews rowed Resolute.
