The Elevation Tour is
U2's first
arena tour since
1992.
PJ Harvey will be the opening act.
Most dates were sold out hours after
they went on sale, prompting promoters to have multiple shows in the same city. The demand for this
band must be huge, if you think about it. In some cities there are 4 consecutive
sold out shows in
huge arena
venues. That is
nuts. But it's
U2, the band that brought you the
Zoo TV tour
and the massive
Pop Mart tour, so what do you expect.
The show designer for the tour is Willie WIlliams, who has worked with the band since 1982.1
Pop Mart played to over 3.9 million people worldwide after all was said and done. This tour probably
won't be as big, but if it is close, there are going to be some everythingians going to these shows.
